About this edition

Dick Dale and his Del-Tones pioneered the surf genre. The album established the conventions of surf music. It was mostly recorded live at the Rendezvous Ballroom, with overdubs added in the studio. Jim Monsour produced the album. Notable tracks include "Surf Beat", "Misirlou Twist", and "Lets Go Trippin'".
