About this edition

Dexter Gordon, a jazz tenor saxophonist, leads this album. He is joined by Carl Perkins on piano, Leroy Vinnegar on bass, Chuck Thompson on drums, and Jimmy Robinson on trumpet. Notable tracks include "Silver Plated," "Cry Me A River," and "Rhythm Mad." Gordon was known for his "large" and spacious sound, and for playing behind the beat.
